What is freedom of speech to me?

What is freedom of speech? What does freedom mean to you? How does this relate to you as a blogger? Freedom of speech is defined under the first amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. This proves tat all citizens (of the United States) have the right to say what they want to. Even though you can say whatever you want to, there are also consequences to doing this. For example, you cannot criticize a teacher at school. You can say whatever you want to say but you’ll get busted big time (which is the consequence). Consequences are basically determined by the location you are at. If you are at school, they are stricter then when you are hanging around with your friends on the street. In my point of view, I think that freedom of speech is a weird law. I think this because of what I said before. It is a law but when you follow it you can have major consequences. So, I still don’t know why it is an amendment since most of the time you do not have the right of total freedom of speech. In a blog you also have limits to your freedom of speech. I am not saying that this is bad but the people controlling the blog are just giving their website some rules so they can control it better and have people not spam their blog with junk or bad material that others may not want to see. After that, the blog does not want their rep to go down because of people saying bad things and using their freedom of speech with no consequences. So, this relates to me as a blogger because it is my duty to control my site and know that there are consequences for my actions (like getting banned from a blog site).
